About Us
Hello.
We are the Platt's of 3P Rabbitry of Bastrop. We started our rabbitry about a year before Jamie was able to show at our Bastrop County Show. We started with 10 rabbits from Britton Farms of Smithville, Texas. Travis Britton is one of the best people I've met with meat pen rabbit savy. He helped us so much getting started. About a year later we had about 70 real nice rabbits and started going to breeder shows. Our first show was the STRBA at Yoakum. Jamie won 4 of 6 Classes, Best Opposite Californian and Best Opposite New Zealand Youth and Best of Best Opposites.
One year later the Brittons closed their rabbitry to concentrate on their European Doberman dogs, probably the best in the country, and all their rabbits came to 3P Rabbitry.
With another new friend Dan Leonard, a very respected breeder and Buster Klingemann, 3P Rabbitry acquired new rabbits to our already growing breed of quality rabbits. Meat pens are our #1 priority and they do very well. Our show rabbits are coming along and we are winning at the tables.
We have met some awesome people in the rabbit world and made a lot of new friends. And most importantly, the Texas judges who have been so gracious to share their knowledge with me has helped 3P Rabbitry to raise better meat pens for the youth of Texas.
